All our products meet or exceed
uk specifications

Our product range includes petrol, diesel, jet A-1, ultra-low sulphur gasoil and kerosene - all of which either meet, or exceed, U.K. specifications. The Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO) requires that we ensure that a specified percentage of all transport fuel supplied is sustainable, as set out by the EU Renewable Energy Directive (RED) and RTFO guidance.

This process involves providing an independently audited proof of sustainability for the renewable fuel, showing the greenhouse gas saving versus conventional fossil fuel, the original feedstock used to create the fuel and the feedstock’s country of origin. Mabanaft meets this obligation by blending where appropriate, while working to minimise the associated costs to ensure our customers are offered the best possible prices.

Gas oil

10ppm Gasoil is a middle distillate, rebated fuel which is commonly referred to as red diesel. It is predominantly used for non-road mobile machinery and commercial heating.

10ppm Diesel is a middle distillate and is primarily used as a fuel in the road transport sector. Diesel engines do not use high-voltage spark ignition, instead fuel ignition takes place as a result of compression of the inlet air mixture and then injection of fuel. Diesel can be blended with biofuels such as FAME content of up to 7 vol.% (B7).

Fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) or biodiesel is a biofuel produced by transesterification of vegetable oils. It has similar properties to fossil Diesel fuel, is therefore suitable for the operation of diesel engines. The British Standard specification for Diesel allows a maximum FAME content of up to 7 vol.% (B7).
